Asambe Youth is a youth driven initiative which equips young people with the skills, confidence and support needed to pursue meaningful employment opportunities. Through practical workshops, mentorship, and digital resources, participants develop essential employability skills such as career planning, CV writing, interview preparation, digital literacy and workplace professionalism.Â

Our Workshops
Participants are introduced to key interview skills, including how to prepare, answer common questions and communicate their strengths with confidence. The workshop also covers body language, active listening and how to handle nerves in high-pressure situations.
Workshop 2: CV Construction
This workshop focuses on building a clear, professional CV that highlights each participant’s strengths, experiences and potential. Young people learn how to structure their CV, choose strong wording and present their story in a way that is relevant to employers.
Workshop 3: Interview Skills and Communicating with Confidence
Workshop 1: Identifying Strengths and Career Pathways
In this workshop, participants explore their personal strengths, interests and values to better understand which career paths might suit them. Through guided reflection and practical exercises, they begin to map out possible pathways and set realistic, meaningful goals for their future.
Workshop 4: Digital Literacy and Professional Communication
This workshop helps young people build essential digital skills for the modern workplace, including using email professionally, managing online profiles and understanding basic online safety. It also explores how to communicate clearly and respectfully in digital spaces.
Workshop 5: Career Day
Career Day gives participants the chance to engage with professionals, hear real-world stories and ask questions about different career paths. The focus is on exposure, inspiration and helping young people see what is possible for their own futures.
Workshop 6: Workplace Etiquette
In this final workshop, participants learn about workplace expectations, behaviour and culture. Topics include punctuality, teamwork, communication, professionalism and how to navigate common challenges in a new work environment.
